To close offending post Government want to make agreement with Facebook.

In order to stop the offending post related to political instability and violence against women, the government is trying to deal with Facebook. Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has asked to take the necessary steps.


Tarana Halim, State minister for the post and telecom department said this to the press.

The minister said, the government, in 2006 have had the chance to take this step with Facebook. But they did not use the opportunity. As a result, politicians and women being harassed through Facebook posts.
